Got several boxes while on travel this week: headers, GM Twilight Sentinel and a trunk light. While the stock trunk lights used a mechanical switch and mounted to the trunk lid bracket, I got an earlier one with a mercury switch. Mount it to the trunk lid, and whenever it opens, on it comes! I'll have to see if it still spills enough light from the trunk lid to be useful.

The Twilight Sentinel was GM's add-on automatic headlight control from the 80's. When that popped up for sale, I grabbed it. After learning about the Rain Tracker, which can also control headlights, this might be something that goes for sale.

Then the headers. These are brand new designs from Smitty at M&J Performance and built by American Racing Headers. Check the Parts section of the Picasa web album (link on main page) for the full res pictures. These have 1 3/4" primaries with a 3" collector, 3/8" flange and all stainless. The blending of the tubes into the flange was done really well. No kinks other than between the two middle tubes. Nice smooth curves all the way. It's an odd design with the #5/#6 tubes arching up over the rear tube. Will be interesting to do the install. The collectors on these also use the spike.
