Griding on an intake

There's nothing quite like laying down $250 for a hunk of aluminum then immediately attacking it with a grinder!
I'm using the Performer RPM intake to match up with the Edelbrock heads. It's the easiest way to get the big block heads on a small block. Edelbock advertises it as "The Performer RPM intake has sufficient material above the ports to match to the big block port." Here's a before/after:
They're not joking.
That only took an hour or two for all 8 ports. Grinding aluminum is so much easier than iron!
