A/C Notes

Late '17: Wouldn't you know it, if you use a proper cooling fan, the A/C gets down to 45deg reliably.

Sometime in late '16: switched to a Pro6Ten (polished!) and did an 80% charge. Still only cools ~20deg below ambient. The Omega compressor was spitting oil out the nose quite badly even though I installed a double lip seal.

9/20/15: Charged with 2.25 lbs R134a

Low side: 28, high side: 270, humidity: 50% temp: 90deg, outlet temp: 60deg

Book spec: low side 32, high side 296, outlet 56deg

Pretty close!

Compressor is a new Omega A6, condenser is aftermarket parallel flow unit (part 20007XC at ackits.com) that is much smaller capacity than the stock unit, hence the lower charge. Initially did a charge @ 3.8lbs (stock R12 is 4lbs) but pressures were far too high across the board - clearly an overcharge.

POA was modified to hold low side pressure at 26psi.
